FRIMA is a quartet that unites the musicians from the legendary French trio Ciac Boum – Christian Pacher, Julien Padovani and Alban Pacher – with the Swedish musician Josefina Paulson, virtuoso on the nyckelharpa. Frima, a dialectal word that embraces the beauty of a world under the blanket of snow a cold winter. The refreshing winds that also promise the start of spring and new budding life. Music that usually is housed on festive stages for dancing, takes less expected paths in this collaboration. FRIMA follows a more intimate path, made of silences and explosions of sound. Danceable but also meditative, draws power from the deepest root of tradition from Swedish melancholy and French fiery passion.
